Ellis IslandPeople often exclaim when they see the photographs of weddings at Ellis Island that they never new you could have a wedding there. Ellis Island is a powerful place, a place of history, a place of beauty, a place that helped define New York and our country as a whole. I've been privileged enough to work with two couples on their weddings at Ellis Island, you can see a gallery of photographs from Aarti and Nandu's recent wedding: http://rwagnerphotography.com/galleries/wedding/ellis-island-wedding/ The Ellis Island experience begins in lower Manhattan where guest board ferries to take them across the Hudson with views looking back to Manhattan and under the Statue of Liberty. Guest depart the ferries just as immigrants arriving 100 years ago and are ushered first to the south grounds for cocktail hours overlooking the Lady Liberty and the New York Sky line. As the evening turns to night the wedding party and guests are moved into the great hall, which can hold up to 600. Casa Teulada – ItalyCasa Teulada, Sardinia, Italy. This Honeymoon spot is perfect for those who want to get away from it all. Located in a small village in the South West of Sardinia, it is minutes from some of the most beautiful and untouched beaches in all of Italy and in my opinion some of the best I've been to in the world. Commercialism has escaped this part of the country, one can visit many of the farms, wineries and other world class agra-businesses located throughout the rolling hills. The people and living is simple and will bring you back decades. Expect authenticity, small town feel, a unique culture within Italy and amazing food, especially seafood. This particular vacation home is owned by our good friend Antonio, who's attention to detail is magnificent. Check out Casa Teulada's website: http://www.casateulada.com/. To get there take a short flight from Rome to Cagliari and then drive along the scenic coast an hour and half west (a car is must on Sardinia, but easily navigated, as apposed to other parts of Italy that we have experienced, which can be challenging). Chrystal and I stayed for a week in Casa 2 and can't wait to get back, or more appropriately away to Sardinia again! Tuerredda Beach, 15 minutes from Teulada Casa Teulada in the evening.
