With the down time this winter I’ve been spending a lot of time going through weddings I’ve been so fortunate to have been able to be apart of and selecting images for this new website and blog.  I’ve added many large galleries of specific weddings and I am working on a gallery of favorite moments.  Instead of putting up the entire gallery of selected images for the favorites all at once, I’ve decided to release one image at a time over several weeks and explain each of the moments that these images represent.

Mary and Jason wanted their reception to be fun, participatory with lots of revelry.  In addition to the great connection between Mary and Jason, there was a similar connection between the guests and, especially the bridal party, in enjoying the moment.  A live band played for several hours, after which the karaoke was rolled out.  As the music started to play, the groomsmen took turns with the mic belting out some of their favorites.  Jason then grabbed the mic and jumped up on stage with the groomsmen in full sync, waling out his song to waving jazz hands! It was as if they had choreographed the routine for an appearance on American idol the night before.  The gesture of hands, expressions on the faces, Jason’s concentration and Mary looking on in admiration (or surprise) tell their story.  This moment gives new meaning to the title wedding party!
